Honda Cars Philippines held the first ever Track Day event featuring the Civic Type R at the Clark International Speedway. The activity was participated in by 45 out of a hundred owners of the Civic Type R in the country.

During the event, Honda showcased the capabilities of the Civic Type R by having full-track exercises which owners of the said model and members of the motoring media got to experience firsthand and enjoy.

According to Honda, one of the highlight features of the Civic Type R is having a chassis that is matched with a special suspension setup developed by the Honda engineering team specifically for the new model. The company also highlighted that aside from the handling capabilities of the Civic Type R, the model is also equipped with a new engine.

Honda said that with these advanced features, it was no surprise that the 100 units of the Civic Type R that the company brought in the country were instantly sold out last year.

Honda also hinted in the same event that they are in the process of bringing in another batch of the Civic Type R within the year due to the continuous support of the model's enthusiasts.
