TMP Rolls Out New Tamaraw

Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation has begun rolling out the Next Generation Tamaraw from its automotive assembly plant in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

The Next Generation Tamaraw is based on Toyota's new International Multi-purpose Vehicle 0 (IMV 0) platform for the Asian market.

Speaking at the ceremonial roll-out, TMP Chairman Alfred Ty said the Next Generation Tamaraw is the third locally produced model, joining the Vios and Innova, assembled at the company's facility in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

The Next Generation Tamaraw represents a significant investment of P5.5 billion pesos to build the capacity to produce about 22,000 units annually while also establishing a state-of-the-art 1.5-hectare TMP Conversion Factory.

TMP aims to sell around 1,500 to 1,800 of the Next Generation Tamaraw per month.

The newly constructed TMP Conversion Factory can convert the vehicle into three Tamaraw body styles - dropside, utility van and aluminum van - with gas and diesel engine options.

The new Tamaraw features advanced technology to ensure safety, quality, cost efficiency and environmental sustainability.

TMP is also exploring the possibility of exporting the Next Generation Tamaraw.
