Toyota Launches Pulong Sta. Cruz Elementary School As A Digital School

Toyota Motor Philippines, through Toyota Motor Philippines Foundation's, has marked the completion of the computerization project at its adopted school, Pulong Sta. Cruz Elementary School or the PSCES after three years of working on it.

Toyota's "Computerization Project" at the said school was made possible under DepEd's "Adopt-a- School Program", also known as Republic Act 8525, which aims to engage various entities to support and participate in nation-building through investments in the education of Filipino children.

Since mid-1990s, Toyota Motor Philippines Foundation has been supporting PSCES through various initiatives since mid-1990s, until it formally became an adopted school through a Memorandum of Agreement signed in September 2003.

The goal is to transform PSCES from a traditional school to a "digital school" by equipping it with computers, internet connection, smart TVs, printers, etc. It also aims to enable advanced teaching-learning methodologies with the aid of digital equipment and internet connectivity. The PSCES is the first digital public elementary school in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
