7th CAMPI PIMS

With the theme "Future Mobility", the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. or CAMPI has once again gathered its members, the country's leading manufacturers and distributors, to showcase their latest models and innovations at the Philippine International Motor Show or the PIMS. Now on its 7th year, here are the highlights of the much-awaited event. Watch this.

CAMPI has yet again gathered 17 car brands for the 7th PIMS. These leading car manufacturers and distributors took their latest models and showcased their latest innovations at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. For five days, guests and visitors were able to witness the future mobility through the displays.

According to CAMPI, the theme "Future Mobility" reflects their commitment to bring technologies and concepts that make customers' lives easier, safer, and more connected.

Let's take a look at what the participating brand offered during the big event.

BAIC brought the BJ20 to the show, which, according to the company, mirrors their company's commitment to provide reliable and efficient vehicles.

BMW showcased the First-Ever BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo, the All-New BMW X4, All-New BMW M5, First-Ever BMW X2, and BMW M2--all present in their pavilion

Daewoo displayed their environment-friendly vehicles like Daewoo Bus BS120SN and Daewoo Truck Medium Commercial Vehicle with Euro 5 Emission Standard Engine equipped with SCR System. These vehicles are under the brand's Clean & Green Technology to support the government's Clean Air Act Program.

For the first time, Foton showcased its latest commercial vehicles namely the Gratour IM6 and the Gratour TM, the Tornado M5.2C light duty truck, the EST-400 4x2 Tractor Head, GTL 6x4 Mixer Truck, Hurricane ESTM 6x2 Cargo, and GTL 8x4 High Roof Dump Truck. These are all equipped with their Blue Energy to provide benefits such as power, durability, reliability, efficiency, and clean emissions

FUSO brought its robust line-up catering the Light, Medium, and Heavy Duty Truck Market as well as shuttle models from the Light Bus up to the PUV Modernization Program models.

Honda took its crowd favorites to the show, namely the Honda Civic Type R, Honda BR-V, Honda City, and Honda CR-V.

Visitors also got to see Isuzu's models that have the brand's Blue Power technology. The lineup included the Isuzu mu-X RZ4E LS, Isuzu mu-X Luxe, Isuzu D-MAX RZ4E LS, Isuzu D-MAX 4x4, Isuzu modernized PUVs, and Isuzu's latest pride, the Isuzu EXZ QL

Jaguar was also on it with the E-PACE and FPACE.

Land Rover displayed the Land Rover Discovery and the new Range Rover Velar.

Mazda unveiled its 2019 lineup which included the refreshed Mazda6, the more powerful MX-5 and its most luxurious vehicle to date, the flagship CX-9 Signature.

Following the brand's tagline "Drive Your Ambition", Mitsubishi Motors' showcased the MITSUBISHI e-EVOLUTION CONCEPT and Outlander PHEV along with its dynamic range of vehicles, the All-New XPANDER, Montero Sport, Strada, and the Mirage G4.

Nissan highlighted its Nissan Intelligent Mobility technology by bringing the new Nissan Terra, Nissan Navara, and Nissan X-Trail to the spotlight.

SsangYong brought its first Korean-built contender for the pick-up segment, the luxury utility vehicle, Musso.

The all-new Swift, Dzire and Vitara, were present at the Suzuki's stage, focusing on fuel economy, innovation, and exciting styling.

Tata Motors put on the spotlight the small commercial vehicles category with Euro-IV Tata Super Ace Mint with a 1 ton payload.

Toyota offered its latest concept car, the TJ Cruiser. This hybrid juggernaut combines the luggage capacity of a cargo van with the powerful design of an off-road SUV.

Volkswagen brought its BlueMotion Technology that significantly improves fuel economy of the Santana 1.5 MPI automatic transmission Trendline and Comfortline, Santana GTS 1.5 MPI AT Comfortline, and the Lamando 280 TSI DSG Comfortline and Highline.

Each participating brand had their own unique gimmicks and celebrations as they brought their latest models and innovations to attention. The show definitely thrilled guests and visitors throughout the five-day event.

The 7th CAMPI Philippine International Motor Show has indeed showcased the "Future Mobility" by providing a venue for the car enthusiasts to check out the newest and latest innovations from the country's car manufacturers. That's it for our Special Feature this week.
